My favorite HEALTHY SNACK

It’s always hard to find a good snack that is healthy yet portable. Protein bars are a healthy snack, but I consider them to be SUPER GROSS. My choice for a great snack is an APPLE & ALMONDS. Not only is this a great on the go snack but also a great pre-workout snack.

Apple & Almonds

Let me break it down for ya.

1 APPLE: Carbohydrate for energy. Great nutritional value. It contains Vitamins, Minerals, Antioxidants, a MODERATE amount of SUGAR and the super special Pectin Fiber. (I’ll explain why this is key in a minute.)

A HANDFUL (1 dozen) ALMONDS: Just the right amount of Protein & Fat for a snack.

The Pectin Fiber and the Almonds help slow the entrance of the sugar from the Apple into the bloodstream giving you a SUSTAINED ENERGY LEVEL & SAIETY (fullness).

I HEART Princess B’s RuffleButts Swimsuit

I searched high and low to find the perfect first swimsuit for Princess B. I ended up buying her a RuffleButts Red Polka Dot bikini in 3 – 6 months. I absolutely LOVE it, so I thought I’d share!

Here is why I LOVE it:

  • Two-piece – Easy for changing the diaper and not too skimpy overall for a baby.
  • Top design - Criss-cross back on the top keeps it in place. No straps falling off the shoulders.
  • Bottom Design -  Somewhere between a bloomer bottom and a bikini. Perfect for covering a diaper on a little one. Not to mention the ruffles. Could it get any cuter?

Princess B is just over 7 months now and the 3-6 months suit still fits her pretty good. Honestly, it would probably last her a few more months. These suits are so stinkin’ cute though, I’m headed over to the RuffleButts Website today to get her THIS swimsuit in 6-12 months.

1.) Anden and Anais Muslin Receiving Blankets

We are gettin' good use out of these babies! If you remember, these were on my list of My Favorite Things for Princess B - First Three Months

2.) Bumbo Baby Seat and Play Tray

3.) Fisher-Price Rain Forest Melodies and Lights Deluxe Gym

4.) Fisher Price Jumperoo (Similar to this one; Mine was brighter colors)

5.) Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes

6.) Summer Infant Large Comfort Bather

7.) Green Sprouts Fruit Teether

8.) Sassy Ring and Phone Rattle

9.) Chicco Capri Stroller

I know I said in my post, My Favorite Things for Princess B - First Three Months, I said I wasn't mentioning the obvious things like a stroller, but in this case I have to. This stroller was purchased primarily for travel and it has been awesome! Super compact and light-weight for going through security, gate checking and riding shuttles/trams at the airport. This is the perfect option when I don't feel like using my Chicco Travel System

10.) RuffleButts Bloomers

My Favorite Things for Princess B - First Three Months

As I was organizing my daughter’s room, while packing for a trip to Hawaii a couple weeks ago, I started thinking about what items I actually got the most use of during her first three months.  Now, there were the obvious items I used all the time like a crib, car seat, stroller diapers etc. Also, on my list were some unique items that I might have passed on before having a baby, but now couldn’t imagine the first three months without them.

Here is a list of the specific items I used all the time during Princess B's first three months, aside from all the obvious things you need for a baby. Keep in mind I had my baby in the winter. Hope this helps those mom’s to be out there!

2.) Carters Sleep and Plays

3.) Frog Bouncer Chair

4.) Mini hair clips

5.) Halo Sleep Sack

6.) Puj Baby Tub

7.) Car Seat Blanket

8.) Aden and Anais Muslin Wraps
